To ensure you receive timely and appropriate medical care, we want to inform you that some services requested from your doctor may not be considered medically necessary by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and are therefore not covered. These services, known as “non-insured” or “uninsured” services, include but are not limited to insurance forms, legal letters, sick notes, and cosmetic medical procedures.

BayWest Medical Centre follows the fee guidelines established by the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) when charging for uninsured services.

Below is a list of the most commonly requested uninsured services. If the service you require is not listed, please speak with the clinic staff or your doctor for further clarification.

Payment for all uninsured services is required in full at the time of service. A receipt will be provided upon payment. Please note that we currently accept cash or Interac transfer only.
